Gaeatools is a set of programs that facilitate prospect appraisal. The programs are simple and can not compete with the many highly professional solutions that are available at the moment, such as the geochemical modeling and sophisticated statistical analysis programs. However they may be useful as a "light" introduction to solving the many small estimation problems that arise in the context of prospect appraisal and resource estimation. For instance: correction of the TOC, Total Organic Carbon for a sourcerock that is already mature, estimating Total Organic Carbon from wireline logs, or a simple method to study the history of trap capacity in time for a prospect, etc. See the list of software tools.
Some have been updated to function under Windows 10 using the VB.net development tool, and a few have come available at this moment for inernal use by GAEA.
